Neighbourhood Plan
Introduction
Quarndon Parish Council is the relevant body to undertake neighbourhood planning in the parish. At the Quarndon Parish Council's meeting on 25th April 2016 a motion to develop a neighbourhood plan was passed unanimously.
The Neighbourhood Planning Steering Group worked in partnership with the Parish Council to develop the Quarndon Neighbourhood Plan (QNP).
The QNP was submitted to AVBC for examination on 9 November 2018. From this date the Plan carried legal weight in deciding planning applications in the Parish.
On 20 August 2019 Amber Valley Borough Council announced that they have 'made' the Quarndon Neighbourhood Plan. The Quarndon Neighbourhood Plan now forms part of the Development Plan for Amber Valley in relation to the Parish of Quarndon through to year 2033.
